[slides] @Metavine's #MachineLearning for #IoT @ThingsExpo #BigData #AI

#artificialintelligence

The Internet of Things will challenge the status quo of how IT and development organizations operate. Certainly the fog layer of IoT requires special insights about data ontology, security and transactional integrity. But the developmental challenges are the same: People, Process and Platform. In his session at @ThingsExpo, Craig Sproule, CEO of Metavine, demonstrated how to move beyond today's coding paradigm and shared the must-have mindsets for removing complexity from the development process, accelerating application delivery times, and ensuring that developers will become heroes (not bottlenecks) in the IoT revolution. Speaker Bio Craig Sproule is the CEO of Metavine where he is responsible for the company's vision, product development and customer success.

[slides] #Monitoring with #AI @CloudExpo @Dynatrace #DevOps #ML #DL

#artificialintelligence

Today we can collect lots and lots of performance data. We build beautiful dashboards and even have fancy query languages to access and transform the data. Still performance data is a secret language only a couple of people understand. The more business becomes digital the more stakeholders are interested in this data including how it relates to business. Some of these people have never used a monitoring tool before.

Business Models of #WebRTC @CloudExpo @Twilio #IoT #RTC #AI #ML

#artificialintelligence

WebRTC services have already permeated corporate communications in the form of videoconferencing solutions. However, WebRTC has the potential of going beyond and catalyzing a new class of services providing more than calls with capabilities such as mass-scale real-time media broadcasting, enriched and augmented video, person-to-machine and machine-to-machine communications. In his session at @ThingsExpo, Luis Lopez, CEO of Kurento, introduced the technologies required for implementing these ideas and some early experiments performed in the Kurento open source software community in areas such as entertainment, video surveillance, interactive media broadcasting, gaming or advertising. He concluded with a discussion of their potential business applications beyond plain call models. Speaker Bio Dr. Luis Lopez is associate professor at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid, where he works in the creation of advanced multimedia communication technologies.

Clouber to Exhibit at @CloudExpo @Clouberio #AWS #MaaS #Azure #AI #DX

#artificialintelligence

SYS-CON Events announced today that Clouber will exhibit at SYS-CON's 20th International Cloud Expo, which will take place on June 6-8, 2017, at the Javits Center in New York City, NY. Clouber offers Migration as a Service (MaaS) across Private and Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) including bare metal migration to cloud. Clouber's innovative technology allows for migration projects to be completed in minutes instead of weeks. All major researchers estimate there will be tens of billions devices - computers, smartphones, tablets, and sensors - connected to the Internet by 2020. This number will continue to grow at a rapid pace for the next several decades.

[slides] @LeeAtchison Talk at @CloudExpo @NewRelic #IoT #AI #ML #DevOps

#artificialintelligence

When building large, cloud-based applications that operate at a high scale, it's important to maintain a high availability and resilience to failures. In order to do that, you must be tolerant of failures, even in light of failures in other areas of your application. "Fly two mistakes high" is an old adage in the radio control airplane hobby. It means, fly high enough so that if you make a mistake, you can continue flying with room to still make mistakes. In his session at 18th Cloud Expo, Lee Atchison, Principal Cloud Architect and Advocate at New Relic, discussed how this same philosophy can be applied to highly scaled applications, and can dramatically increase your resilience to failure.

ManageEngine conducted a survey to understand what IT pros need from an advanced analytics tool. The survey looked at the critical areas of analytics and reporting for service desk management around incident management, asset management and change management. Here's what they had to say: Who needs reporting the most? Service desk managers and CIOs are key decision makers who need insight from their data to formulate better strategies. For instance, by tracking including technician performance, service desk responsiveness, IT user preferences, customer satisfaction, SLA violation rate, and other critical metrics, they can better analyze costs, trends, manage resources, and improve overall service quality.
